B.ED & M.ED (Regular/Distance)
B.Ed. is the minimum qualification required in India to teach at Secondary and Higher Secondary levels. Pursuing this course will help one in becoming a teacher eligible to teach students hailing from those levels. PG Degree in Science/Social Science/Humanities/Other relevant disciplines from a recognized University/Institute (criteria in case of University of Mumbai). Minimum aggregate marks/grade required is 55% or equivalent grade.
The curriculum of B.Ed course is designed in such a way to make the candidates acquainted with all the aspects that they will have to face in their profession. The teacher has to deal with classrooms of multilingual character with children from diverse socio-cultural, economic and linguistic background and varying levels of cognitive abilities.
